Surreal interpretation of the classic fairytale created in acrylic paint.

The wicked witch can take any form in this case a bird she hovers over her pray the unfortunate snow white who is trapped inside the iconic red apple.

The different element that make up the image are from different parts of the story and help the narrative play out.

This image maps events from when Anne was arrested on the 2nd of May 1536 until her execution on the 19th of May 1536.

Anne’s last words spoken at eight o’clock in the morning 19 may 1536-“Masters I here humbly submit me to the law as the law has judged me, and as for my offences I here accuse no man, God knoweth them, I remit them to God. Beseeching him to have mercy on my soul and I beseech Jesus Save my sovereign and master the king, the most godly and gentle prince that is and long to reign over you. To Jesus Christ commend my soul”.

This image is from one of my university projects, where I explored the life and downfall of Queen Anne Boleyn. It is my interpretation of Queen Anne Boleyn not a definite likeness. Although there is some discrepancy about the time of her birth it is normally given as 1507. Her husband king Henry VIII beheaded her, because apparently she committed incest with her brother George Boleyn, however many historians agree that there was no solid evidence against Anne and she was more than lightly innocent; she was also accused of adultery with other men who were also arrested, they were all beheaded two days before Anne along with her brother George. Henry VIII had grown tied of Anne and wanted to rid him self of her. Anne’s lack of producing a male heir, Henry VIII seeking an alliance with Spain, and Jane Seymour were all contributing factors to Anne’s downfall. Anne was taken to the block 19^th may 1536.
